Harpley C. of E. Primary School has a Safeguarding Policy which is reviewed annually. Anyone wishing to view this policy should contact the school office or click here.
The purpose of Harpley C. of E. Primary School’s safeguarding policy is to ensure every child who is a registered pupil at our school is safe and protected from harm. This means we will always work to:
- Protect children and young people at our school from maltreatment;
- Prevent impairment of our children’s and young people’s health or development;
- Ensure that children and young people at our school grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care;
- Undertake that role so as to enable children and young people at our school to have optimum life chances and enter adulthood successfully. If you have a concern about any child or young person connected with the school you should initially contact the Designated Safeguarding Leads who are Ann Beardall and Kirsten Stibbon, or in their absence, Becki Cushley either in person or by telephoning the school on 01485 520274. Chair of Governors is Bev Randall and you can contact the school office if you require Mrs Randall’s contact details. You can also follow the link on the Home Page of the Norfolk Safeguarding Children Board or call Norfolk County Council Children’s Services on 0344 800 8020. If you need to report an allegation of abuse against a person who works with children, you need to contact the Local Area Designated Officer (LADO).
